THE LLAMAS
A Poem written by one of our guests. Llamas When I awoke in my pyjamas, I saw a lovely herd of llamas And I wondered, would they harm us?; if I were to offer them bananas? But that peaceful herd of llamas only serve to soothe & calm us And in this world of many dramas, they reminded me of Judith Chalmers (Upon a beach in the Bahamas). Mr M Howroyd - Mixbury, Oxon. 02.05.10
SUMMER, APPLE, FLOWER & JANE On the 14th of August 2008 the Llamas arrived. They have settled in really well and keen to explore their new surroundings. After they have settled in they will start their training to walk on the leading rein, and to carry packs. Their first task, once trained will be to bring small quanities of fire wood back to the house. In time, we hope to take them trekking in the woods, even to carry a picnic hamper. In a couple of years we hope to breed our first cria (baby llamas). We hope our guests will enjoy meeting & grooming them if they wish.
Update: On the 1st of August 2011 - 2 baby (14wks old) female pygmy goats (Fern & Bramble) arrived join the clan!!
